The Civil Division is a state mandated service of the Sheriff's Office. Its purpose and function is to serve and execute the various legal processes issued not only by and for the several non-criminal courts of the state and its subdivisions, but also for the legal community and the general public. The sworn staff is dedicated to civil enforcement and proper process service.
The Civil Division provides a variety of civil process which includes summons and complaints, subpoenas, small claims, wage garnishments, court ordered restraining orders, etc.
Departmental and divisional policies and procedures are consistent with Idaho State Code. These policies are designed and developed to insure the accurate, expeditious, and judicious service and execution of all matters relating to civil process.
The Oneida County Sheriffs Civil Division only serves and enforces papers in the Oneida County boundaries. For service outside of Oneida County please refer to the appropriate Sheriff's Office of that County.

Civil papers are usually processed on the next available business day. Attempts for service are based on available staffing. The Oneida County Sheriff cannot guarantee service.

- +$25.00 per return
- =$50.00 per person served
Additional fees may be billed to you and must be received prior to service for mileage, postage, mailing materials, and copies.
