CWL
Applications for an Idaho CWL are available at the Driver’s License office.
For Enhanced CWL:
- I.C. 18-3302K Enhanced Concealed Weapons License Applicant Requirements:
- Completed Idaho State Police application. (Application will be in the Concealed Weapons Office).
- Approved background information for State & Federal requirements.
- Certificate of completion of the National Rifle Association Personal Protection or Equivalent Course. Personal Handgun Protection taught face to face by an NRA, Idaho Post or Nationally Recognized organization firearms instructor.
- Complete at least 8 hours of instruction on Idaho Law relating to firearms, basic concepts of safe and responsible handgun use, and self-defense principles. Must also include 98 round minimum live fire training. This training must be taught by an active licensed member of the Idaho State Bar, or a law enforcement officer who holds an Idaho POST Intermediate or higher certificate.
- State and Federal requirements regarding firearm prohibitions also apply. You must call (208) 766-4817 ex. 8 to schedule an appointment to apply for your CWL.
FINGERPRINTING
- There is a $10 fee for non-criminal fingerprinting.
- You must call (208) 766-4144 to schedule an appointment to be fingerprinted.
SOR
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office facilitates Sex Offender Registration for registered sex offenders that live or work in Oneida County.
If you are a sex offender that needs to register, our office is available to facilitate sex offender registrations M-F, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm.
